Jack the hamster was destined to be in a home with a loving family.

Update: Two of Colin's lumps are benign, one "is showing signs of repeat activity"...............which when translated means he has to start radiotherapy to stop the Hodgkins' thinking he will be a willing host again. Tomorrow is decision day for me, I have to do another video conference with this man from somewhere unpronounceable and than decide whether I want further treatment ...(which MIGHT work IF I am lucky and he's got the potion recipe right.) ....or whether I say NO MORE and go away somewhere peaceful. Putting Helen into this melting pot makes the decision SO difficult, so I have decided to try and sleep tonight without making a decision, and then just say whatever falls out of my mouth tomorrow; I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but it feels ok at this particular moment................though I may have changed my mind in the next few minutes, of course!!!!!!!!! Jack is doing very well, much loved and spoiled by his new mum and dad. Andrew hasn't head anything about his application, he was told he will only know if he stands a chance if he gets called for an interview . Hi Lylie,
So sorry that Colin's lumps were not all benign and wish him all the best for the radiotherapy. Andrew is sure to get an interview, he sounds to have had experience for the job.
As for you Lylie, I can well understand you have thought long and hard but still no decision. Hope you have a really good sleep tonight and whatever you decide tomorrow, we will be here for you.
Lots of love and extra big hugs, Doreen xx

Lylie, I trhink your plan of action for today sounds good one. Go with your gut feeling and be sure to keep us in the loop. What a shame that all Colin's lumps weren't benign but thank goodness the majority were. YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Sorry to hear Colin will need radiotherapy - I hope it is a success. Also hope Andrew gets the job - sometimes they take ages to send out any reply. Good luck, Lylie, with whatever you decide - still praying and thinking of you. Take care, Kathleen x

Hi there, I'm still here though only just................ I've just come back from a visit to the vet (yes, at nearly midnight!!) with my oldest dog, he is almost 17 and they think he may have renal failure so there is nothing they can do, especially as his heart is very weak; poor old chap has been very poorly during the day, and doesn't really know what's going on, so I think (and hope) he may well be gone by the morning, I'm sitting up with him tonight because I love him dearly and for my peace of mind, and hope he has a peaceful night. I bought him for Andrew after his daddy died and he's been a real gentleman all his life. Dear Lylie
Just seen your post. I am so sorry to hear this very sad news. I had my Eric, a black pug, put to sleep about four weeks ago so very hard, they are another member of the family.
Sending my love to you and the family.
Julia xx
